Anobli par Louis XVI et décoré de l'ordre de Saint-Michel,<bɾ>il reçut une pension de 6,000 livres. La Révolution le laissa sans ressources, et la ville dɛ<bɾ>Lyon, pour le récompenser de ses services, lui accorda un logement au palais Saint-Pierre. On peut voir aujourd'hui son buste en marbre accompagné d'une inscription rap-<bɾ>pelant les services qui'l a rendus au pays. Nous espérons qu'un jour M. Pierre Brossard, notre savant collègue du musée indus-<bɾ>triel de Lyon, entreprendra la biographie de ce célèbre dessinateur et inventeur, une des<bɾ>gloires de l'industrie française.<bɾ>HISTOIRE DU TISSU ANCIEN. 159
