Description
English: Human finger with typical shaped bite wound caused by a European Medicinal Leech, Hirudo medicinalis – some hours after bite.
Deutsch: Bisswunde eines (mittelgroßen) Medizinischen Blutegels (Hirudo medicinalis) an einem menschlichen Finger – mehrere Stunde nach dem Biss. Die typische dreistrahlige Form entsteht durch die drei entsprechend angeordneten Kieferplatten. Da der Biss hier unfreiwillig geschah, wurde das Tier, bevor es Blut saugen konnte, von der Hand wieder abgeschüttelt. Die Blutgerinnung/Wundheilung war trotz der sehr kurzen Verweildauer des Egels am Finger zunächst beeinträchtigt.
