Description
English: The old Hines Bridge, in Amesbury, Massachusetts, seen from the Deer Island side. Built in 1966, this bridge traversed the left branch of the Merrimack River where it flows around Deer Island and include a swing span. It closed permanently to traffic in November 2010 and was replaced in 2011–12 by a new, wider bridge, incorporating a two-part swing span.
