English: The Ettumanoor Mahadeva temple is a major Hindu temple in Kerala, a site for weddings and rites-of-passages of Hindu families.
The temple roadside entrance has a Nataraja (dancing Shiva), has a mandala for social events such as performance arts, a dedicated place facing the garbha-grihya (inner sanctum) for Hindu rites of passage, a balance for donations (tula dana), a free community kitchen to feed the needy and visitors (anna dana). The temple features Shiva in its inner sanctum, as well as smaller shrines for various Hindu gods and goddesses. |
