Unknown Publisher c. 1905 Halftone Divided back 14.00x9.00cm This was the postcard M.V. Dhurandhar chose to send to E. Greenwood, his teacher at the J.J. School of Art, after he had retired in England, suggesting that it was one of his favorites among the seventy or so depictions of types and people emerging in Bombay's urban landscape around the turn of the century. "To E Greenwood Esq. A happy Christmas and a Happy New Year from M.V. Dhurandhar" he wrote. |
