English: Talakaveri , is the place that is generally considered to be the source of the river Kaveri in India. It is located by Brahmagiri hill (not to be confused with the Brahmagiri range further south) near Bhagamandala in Kodagu district, Karnataka, 1,276 m. above sea level. A tank or kundike has been erected on a hillside by kodavas, at the place that is said to be the origin. |

coorg is a very special place to see when you are around bangalore the road to this place between the coffee plantations and fresh air. the birth of river cauvery is believed to be here in this place n take some steps to the top of the hill for some great views.
