| Description |
English: Hill land above Bracara Descending along the Allt nan Taighean, I needed to make a sweeping detour to avoid cows with newborn calves. The red cow here had calved a few minutes earlier.
Calving is timed to match the peak growth time of calves with the arrival of the best Spring and early Summer grass. Unfortunately this means Winter births,in this case during the heavy snow shower that had just passed. |
