Description

Kos is a Greek island located in the south-eastern Aegean Sea in the Dodecanese archipelago, just two nautical miles from the coast of Asia Minor, and the ancient region of Caria.

Kos is the birthplace of the father of medicine, Hippocrates, who was born on the island around 460 B.C. and founded the Great School of Medicine of Kos.

The island is famous for its rich vegetation and its temperate climate, being a very popular tourist destination. It attracts thousands of visitors from across the globe because of its fine beaches, picturesque villages, and archaeological sites.
