| Description |
English: Fil de Cassons offers a superb view to the Glarus Thrust line on all surrounding peaks - in fact people doing so are actually standing near the line themselves - note the greenish rock of photographer position and the higher part in the background - compared to the bright chalk in the foreground left. Highest point in the horizon line is Ringelspitz, also only the top peak consisting of greenish Verrucano rock. Get to this point easily by using the Cassons cablecar from Flims.
Deutsch: Auf dem Fil de Cassons findet sich die an den umliegenden Bergen zu sehende Überschiebunglinie auch direkt unter den Füssen des Beobachters; grünlicher Verrucanostein am Fotostandort und im hinteren höheren Teil des Cassonsgrat, links davon heller Kalkstein. Die Linie verläuft auch unterhalb des Ringelspitz, des höchsten Punkts im Horizont. Dieser Punkt ist bequem zu erreichen mit der Cassonsbahn ab Flims. |
