ILLPAY BIG DIVIDENDS It is gratifying to learn of thecampaign of the Alumni Associationof Maryville College for the purposeof securing more adequate equip-ment for the physical developmentof the students through the provid-ing of a new athletic field and anenlarged gymnasium. No one knowsthe great need of such equipmentmore than some of us who in jtheryears struggled with limited facili-ties, and we shall rejoice to see thefuture students of the College inthe possession of a commodiojisGym, and a real stadium. I believesuch equipment will mean a happierand more contented student body,which will show itself in healthierbodies, higher scholarship, and nobl-er characters. Maryville College has grown osuch proprtions and, with its fai*-reaching influences, it can ill affordinadequate athletic opoprtunities ^orits students.
