Summary
[edit]DescriptionHigh Neb - geograph.org.uk - 21660.jpg |
English: High Neb. The highest point of Stanage Edge, a dominant millstone grit escarpment in this part of the Peak District. At one time it was used to make millstones, some of which may still be seen abandoned by the path, presumably too difficult and expensive to transport after the bottom fell out of the millstone market.
As we can see The Edge is very popular with the rock climbing fraternity. |
