| Description | Cette promenade paysagère, aménagée le long d'une ligne de chemin de fer aérienne datant de 1930, est une longue et belle histoire. Les trains de marchandises y ont circulé jusqu'en 1980, déchargeant viandes et autres produits laitiers directement dans les entrepôts du quartier. Après l'interruption du trafic ferroviaire en 1980, la ligne fut désaffectée, et on envisagea même de la détruire. Mais les riverains se mobilisèrent. Ils créèrent une association avec le projet de la transformer en espace public. Après une dizaine d'années d'études et cinq ans de travaux, les deux premiers tronçons de la nouvelle High Line ont finalement vu le jour. |
