Description
English: High Dam. High Dam or High Loch (1¾ x 1¼ furl.) as it was known, is one of a chain of three lochs that supplied water to power both the cotton and corn mills in Eaglesham. Mid Dam, the smaller of the three lochs was located at 1539538. Water was drawn-off from Picketlaw Reservoir 1432415 into the Linn Burn with dams and sluices to supply both the cotton and corn mills situated in the Orry.
