Summary

[edit]
Description

While I was photographing the flowers, an Empid fly landed and started feeding at the base of the stamens. It walked around the flower feeding for 5minutes or so.

I am told that Hibbertia do not have nectar. It is a mystery to know what it was feeding on.

What a pretty Hibbertia. One of the few orange flowered ones. Usually Hibbertia are yellow. Photo: Jean
