Description
English: Front page of the Procheiron or Hexabiblos of Constantine Harmenopoulos(1320 - 1380/1385), Lyon 1587 edition by Jean Mercier, latin translation Hexabiblos was a Byzantine legal treatise of the 14th century, that continued to be widely used in the Balkan lands throughout the later Ottoman Empire's presence. At 1828, it was adopted by the newly founded Greek state as the state's civic code, where it remained so until 1946.
Ελληνικά: Η αρχική σελίδα της του Προχείρου ή Εξάβιβλου του Κωνσταντίνου Αρμενόπουλου (1320 - 1380/1385), έκδοση του 1587 στην Λυών από τον Jean Mercier, λατινική μετάφραση. Η Εξάβιβλος ήταν μια Βυζαντινή νομική πραγματεία η οποία συνέχισε να χρησιμοποιείται ευρέως στα Βαλκάνια κατά τη διάρκεια της μετέπειτα Οθωμανικής αυτοκρατορίας. Το 1828, το έργο αυτό υιοθετήθηκε ως ο νομικός κώδικας του νεοιδρυθέντος Ελληνικού κράτους, όπου και παρέμεινε σε ισχύ ως το 1946.
