Centsprent met 3 x 2 houtgravures, met het verhaal van een vader die een kostbare ring heeft. Degene van zijn drie zoons die het beste proefstuk maakt krijgt de ring. Ze zijn schermmeester, hoefsmid en barbier. De hoefsmid beslaat een paard in volle ren, de schermmeester zwaait in een regenbui zo met zijn degen dat ze droog blijven, en de barbier zeept een haas in volle vaart in en scheert hem. Wie de ring krijgt mag de lezer raden. Bevat
