Description
English: The Schouwgat, viewed from the Lagebrug, with a row of historic buildings to the Rotterdamse Schie, just before it flows into the Delftse Schie. In the background the tower of the Grote Kerk of Overschie. In one of these 17th-century cottages, in July 1968 during evacuation related to the planned demolition, a whole wall with Delft tiles was discovered. The cottages were once a skipper pub at the time of the taps. Year: 1968.
Nederlands: Het Schouwgat, gezien vanaf de Lagebrug, met een rij historische panden aan de Rotterdamse Schie, vlak voordat deze uitmondt in de Delftse Schie. Op de achtergrond de toren van de Grote Kerk van Overschie. In een van deze 17e-eeuwse huisjes werd in juli 1968 tijdens de ontruiming in verband met de geplande sloop, een hele wand met Delftse tegeltjes ontdekt. De huisjes waren ooit een schipperskroegje ten tijde van de trekvaart. Jaar: 1968.
