English: Herringfleet wind pump The wind pump stands on the marshes that it drained into the River Waveney. Built around 1820, it is the last of the wooden drainage pumps on the Broads. It is owned by the Somerleyton Estate but maintained in working order by Suffolk County Council. According to a sign at the pump, more details, including open days, can be obtained by phoning 01473 264755. |
