Description
Deutsch: Wappen der Herren von Bartensleben. Kupferstich, altkoloriert, um 1790. Identisch mit dem Wappen derer von Berwinkel. – Die beiden Familien Bartensleben und Berwinkel waren mindestens eng verwandt oder doch sogar identisch, d. h. dass es sich hierbei um zwei verschiedene Zweige eines einzigen Geschlechts gehandelt haben könnte (Peter Przybilla: Die Edelherren von Meinersen, Seite 455). So soll sich ein Ludolph von Bartensleben auch von Berwinkel genannt haben (Geschichte des Geschlechts von Winterfeld, Band 1, Seite 361).
