Description Tinted postcard of seafront at Herne Bay, Kent, England, showing Herne Bay College, which was at this location until the outbreak of war in 1914, when it relocated to Eddington. There was a tunnel between the college and the arcade to allow access to the sea. The woman in pink is possibly the nurse or matron of the college, and the boys may be pupils from there. It is likely that this postcard was tinted in Saxony, therefore the true colour of the nurse's costume is unknown.
