Avec EOTONE, Kolgen et Letellier engagent une réflexion sur les notions de distance et de temps, dans son sens météorologique, en mettant en scène un élément intangible pourtant puissant : le vent. Quatre diffuseurs sonores et sculpturaux, relevant à la fois de la girouette et de la corne de brume, forment cette installation monumentale qui traduit en mouvements et en sons la direction et la force des vents soufflant simultanément sur deux continents : à Montréal, à Québec et, en France, dans les villes de Rennes et de Nantes. Les données éoliennes captées dans chaque ville sont transmises en direct vers les diffuseurs, commandant l’orientation de chacune des structures et orchestrant les accords musicaux combinatoires formant l’ensemble harmonique perçu au cœur de l’installation. Par cette sonification des données météorologiques, EOTONE propose une vision artistique et subtile de ce que peut être l'Internet des objets.
