Text of plaque reads:

"Toddle Inn Operated as a blacksmith shop by W. John Lashbrook, 1893-1916, and continued later by Richard Weir as a Smithy until 1947 when it was sold and converted to a restaurant by C.W. Egleston. This plaque erected by the London Public Library Board, 1984"
