Animal characteristics: Head-Body Length: 110-145 cm; Height: 88-100 cm; Weight: 36-87 kg; Identification: The urial is light brown in color, and males have white cheek beards and a long neck ruff; Habitat: Hills and mountains; Diet: Herbivore: grass, some forbs, shrubs, trees; Reproduction: Urials rut in the late fall. After gestating for 5-6 months, female give birth to one or two offspring in isolation. Weaning takes place when the babies are five months old; Social Structure: Although herds typically range from 10-40 animals in size, it may vary depending on season, resources, etc; Behavior: Urials are diurnal; Status: No special status.
