Title
Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, Constantinople Obv
Description
English: Copper alloy follis of Heraclius (and Heraclius Constantine) (AD 610-41), struck at Constantinople, but overstruck on an earlier coin. It is difficult to be sure which type this coin is because it is overstruck and possibly also doublestruck, but it is probably MIB 159-60 / DOC 76-83 or MIB 164-5 / DOC 105-16. These two issues date to 613-6 and 629-41. It is just possible that the overstrike is DOC 114 which is for 639-40 because it is possible that the date is XXX.

The coin was found by John Capello at Mount Pleasant in Newhaven and shown to Brighton Museum on 10. 12. 1976. The coin was reported to the PAS by Ian Fuller.
