Description

"Sentimental Helmet: Marine Lance Corporal Henry F. Longchase, 21 (Las Vegas, New Mexico), a squad leader with the 7th Marines examines a helmet he had lost six months ago while on a search and clear mission. The helmet, with his name in the liner, was discovered after a fellow Marine killed the North Vietnamese soldier who was wearing it during a firefight in the mountains 25 miles southwest of Da Nang during Operation Oklahoma Hills."
