Nederlands: Henri Servaes, hoogleraar corporate governance London Business School, stelt dat credit rating agencies in de afgelopen 25 jaar conservatiever zijn geworden ten opzichte van bedrijven. Bedrijven moeten beter presteren om dezelfde rating te verkrijgen. Consequentie is dat deze bedrijven minder schulden hebben en financiële markten reageren daar op.
Servaes gelooft dat de ratings te veel waarde krijgen, bedrijven moeten zelf ook nagaan om wat voor producten het gaat en niet alleen de ratings volgen. |
