Voorts zijn er nog twee openbare scholen n.l. de Wilhelminaschool voor M.U.L.O. voor meisjes en de Emmaschool voor jongens en meisjes. In de Hendrikschool was tot voor korten tijd het Schoolmuseum ondergebracht. vgl. J. Hartog, "Curaçao in Oude Ansichten" # 31: "De in 1885 gebouwde Landsschool; de kosten bedroegen toen f 45.000,-. In 1891 werk de Landsschool gesplitst in afdelingen voor jongens en meisjes, die in 1903 de Hendrik- en Wilhelminaschool werden genoemd. In 1941 is het gebouw, dat velen nog gekend hebben, vervangen door een nieuwe Hendrikschool, die in 1972 eveneens is afgebroken. |
