Description A Royal Navy Grumman Hellcat hauled to a halt by an arrestor wire on board the escort carrier HMS Ravager (D70). It has been pulled taught by the aircraft's arrestor hook. HMS Ravager initially served as a convoy escort in the Atlantic theatre. Later in the war she was used mainly as a deck-landing training carrier.
