| Description |
English: This damselfly (suborder Zygoptera) is a female of the species Heliocypha fenestrata (or classified as Rhinocyhpa fenestrata). This species belongs to the Chlorocyphidae family. The Chlorocyphidae family has unique characteristics that distinguish it from other Odonata. These characteristics can be seen in the length of the wings which can exceed the length of its abdomen. The habitat of the damselfly is a shady and humid area with uncontaminated freshwater stream. Females of Heliocypha fenestrata themselves are blackish in color with an additional greenish color which can be seen from its thorax lateral until mid-side of its abdomen. H.fenestrata females have transparent wings, the compound eyes are black and green in coloration. The abdomen of this species is round with enlarged abdomen at the 8th, 9th and 10th segments. This photo was taken at Moga Nature Reserve, Pemalang.
Bahasa Indonesia: Capung jarum (subordo Zygoptera) yang merupakan betina dari spesies Heliocypha fenestrata (atau diklasifikasikan sebagai Rhinocyhpa fenestrata). Spesies ini tergolong kedalam keluarga (family) Chlorocyphidae. Famili Chlorocyphidae memiliki karakteristik unik yang membedakannya dengan capung lain. Karakteristik tersebut dapat terlihat pada panjang sayapnya yang dapat melebihi panjang abdomen. Habitat Capung jarum merupakan kawasan rindang dan lembab dan terdapat aliran air cukup deras yang masih jernih dan bersih seperti pada Cagar Alam Moga, Pemalang, tempat foto ini diabadikan. Betina dari Heliocypha fenestrata sendiri berwarna dasar kehitaman dengan tambahan warna kehijauan pada sisi thoraks hingga pertengahan sisi abdomen. Betina H.fenestrata memiliki sayap transaparan, mata majemuknya terdapat warna hijau, dan abdomen bulat yang membulat besar pada bagian ujungnya (pada segment ke 8, 9 dan 10). |
