Description

Here at Chase Lake NWR we just wanted to remind you to stop, smell, and admire all the beautiful prairie flowers that are in bloom. Photographed here is Maximillian Sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani). It grows statewide and is common in upland prairies. These sunflowers seem to brighten up the prairie and our summer days!
