Two subspecies of hummingbirds of species Heliangelus amethysticollis. J.G.Keulemans (1842-1912)
For Alan P. Peterson they are :
- Heliangelus amethysticollis laticlavius Salvin, 1891
- Heliangelus amethysticollis violiceps Phelps,WH & Phelps,WH Jr 1953
- At least the right bird ("H. violicollis") is today not considered a good species anymore but a color morph or hybrid. --dysmorodrepanis
