| Description |
English: What a way to kick off another year of live music! Held By Trees, the band featuring former members of Talk Talk together with two self-confessed "fan boys" stormed Cambridge with a set that covered their first album "Solace" in full plus three tracks put down recently at Real World Studios for a forthcoming 5 track EP Day into Night. "The Golden Hour" and "Into the Darkness" particular stood out from this new work. It was a real pleasure to watch and listen to these consummate masters of their chosen form perform as they kicked off the second leg of the UK Solace tour.
Led by David Joseph on rhythm guitar, accompanied by his friend and 20-year bandmate James Grant on bass, Held by Trees features world-renowned guitarist Robbie McIntosh (The Pretenders, Paul McCartney, John Mayer, Talk Talk), flute/clarinet/sax virtuoso Andreas Panayi (McCartney, Mark Hollis), and piano master Laurence Pendrous (Mark Hollis, Anja Garbarek) together with drummer Paul Beavis (Andy Fairweather Low, Robert Fripp, The Waterboys). |
