Deutsch: Heilbad Heiligenstadt Friedensplatz 8 Kurmainzisches Schloss und ehemaliges Oberamtshaus 1.
Von 1736 bis 1738 ließ der Kurfürst und Erzbischof von Mainz und Reichserzkanzler des Heiligen Römischen Reiches Deutscher Nation Philipp Karl von Eltz-Kempenich (1665-1743) das Schloss als Residenz des erzbischöflichen Statthalters vom Dingelstädter Baumeister Christoph Heinemann (1695-1772) erbauen, der auch u.a. 1747 das jetzige Schloss Bischofstein im Auftrag des Kurfürsten von Mainz Johann Friedrich Karl von Oststein errichtete. Der Bauherr Johann Friedrich Karl von Ostein (1689-1763) war seit 1743 Erzbischof und Kurfürst von Mainz sowie Bischof von Worms (seit 1756). |
