Description
Deutsch: Osnabrück ist eine Großstadt in Niedersachsen und Sitz des Landkreises Osnabrück. Das Bild der Innenstadt ist von Kirchen (Turmhöhen bis zu 103,5 Meter, St. Katharinen) geprägt. Im nördlichen Teil der Innenstadt, zwischen der Kathedrale Dom St. Peter und Heger Tor, erstreckt sich die historische Altstadt mit dem Rathaus des Westfälischen Friedens. Hier finden sich viele Gebäude des Klassizismus wie das Haus Tenge aus dem Jahr 1813/1814. In der Altstadt finden sich zudem Gebäude des Rokoko sowie Häuser aus der Zeit, als in der Stadt noch in Fachwerkbauweise gebaut wurde. Zu den Fachwerkhäusern gehört das 1690 erbaute Hotel Walhalla.
