Summary
[edit]DescriptionHebden Bridge, Yorkshire - geograph.org.uk - 627061.jpg |
English: Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire All of the built area in this photograph lies within the gridsquare: it was taken from just inside the western edge of the square, on Heptonstall Road. At lease two rows of 'up and unders' (rows of houses built on top of each other) can be seen. It has often been said that you needed one leg shorter than the other to live in Hebden Bridge! However, probably its most notable son, Sir Bernard Ingham (who was Press Secretary to Margaret Thatcher, and happily is still alive and well at the time of writing) did not suffer from this debilitating condition. |
