Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Heather engineering on Rosebrough Moor This is the kind of heather mowing that can allow the grasses to get a foothold on the moorland in strips or 'paths'. I think these are mini fire-breaks to allow the controlled burning of heather. This creates a variety of heather depths and generations in close proximity which is good for grouse feeding and shelter/protection.
