Description
English: Heap Bridge Mills. Yates Duxbury & Sons, http://www.duxbury.plus.com/yd.html paper makers occupied this site on both north and south side of the foot of Prettywood. The red brick building is the former office block on the north side of the Heywood road. Number two mill with two Fourdrinier paper machines and one Yankee was also on the north side of the road. Number one mill on the south side had two paper machines. Both mills were connected by private railway lines and sidings. One of the locos, Annie http://www.pogo.org.uk/railway/9.html from the mills is now to believed to be in service at Embsay. 99909
