English: Pakbirra is situated in the Puncha block of Purulia District. J.D Beglars's in his seminal work 'Report of a tour through the Bengal Provinces...in 1872-73' has described the place. Several Jain statues are there displayed inside a small museum. Other than that a 7.5 feet tall Tirthankar Jain Statue stands outside worshiped by local Hindus as 'Bhairavnath'.
