Text Appearing Before Image:
s of its hot flood intothe crater of the Grand, just below it on the south. Thefrequency of the Turbans eruptions occasionally pre-sents the unusually fine spectacle of both geysers.Grand and Turban, in action at the same time. Onthe way from this point to the Giant and Grotto(reached by a footbridge across the Firehole near the 64 Yi:i.I,OWSTONE NATIONAI, PARK. Oblong), Beauty Spring and Economic Geyser arepassed, the former one of the large silent pools of theUpper Basin, remarkable for the vivid coloring and ex-quisite beauty of its highly ornamented margin, and itslimpid blue waters. Economic Geyser, named from the curious fact thatthere is no overflow nor waste whatever from it, as itswaters, though frequently thrown fifteen or twenty feetin the air, fall again into the crater and disappear. Itis a frequent surprise to visitors who happen alongwhen it is quiet, to see an eruption so sudden and spite-ful, occurring without warning, at intervals varyingfrom three to twenty minutes.
