| Description |
English: Hawkesbury Junction, 1987 The canal straight on is the Coventry Canal, terminating at Coventry. The canal at left is the end of the Oxford Canal, the boat is doing a U turn into it. Originally, because of inter-company rivalry, the two canals continued side-by-side some way towards Coventry. Eventually an agreement was reached and the Oxford canal truncated here, with this awkward junction. |
