Description

c/n 212007 Built 1970 as a T.2 for the Royal Air Force. Converted to a T.4 in 1977 and later to a T.4A, one of only four so modified. During February and March 1983, she was loaned to the Indian Navy Training Unit at Yeovilton in connection with the delivery of Indian Sea Harriers, then returning to 233OCU at RAF Wittering. In 1990 she was modified to a T.4N and transferred to the Royal Navy for service with 899 sqn. She gained the units 50th Anniversary markings in 1992 but was written off in a heavy landing at Yeovilton in June 1994. After use for spares recovery she was then sold for scrap. Privately owned, she arrived at Norwich in May 2008 and has been on display there since as an ongoing restoration project. City of Norwich Aviation Museum Horsham St Faith, Norwich, Norfolk, UK
