She kneels on a slight slope wrapped in a brightly patterned cloth or blanket with a husk in her hands over two shallow baskets containing corn and meala. At her side sit empty husks. A small horse(?) grazes in the brush behind her. A forest is visible in the background. A rocky vertical mountain wall is visible beyond the forest. A small burlap sack in the left foreground reads ..."fanc[...] manufactured by the Hutchinson Packing Co.
