Français : Vue spectaculaire des matières enflammées au gueulard du haut fourneau P6, Hayange, France. La photo a été prise par le trou d'homme pendant un arrêt d'entretien. A cette occasion, le niveau des charges est abaissé de quelques mètres et le gueulard ouvert à l'atmosphère pour que le monoxyde de carbone qui se dégage des charges s'enflamme spontanément. On distingue, de haut en bas : les poutres transversales de mesure de température et de composition des gaz, la ceinture des plaques de chocs verticales, le maçonnage réfractaire (non refroidi à cette hauteur) et la charge enflammée. La distribution homogène des flammes sur toute la surface de chargement est caractéristique d'une marche sans "coke au centre".
English: Dramatic picture of burning loads at the P6 blast furnace top, Hayange, France. The photo was taken by the manhole during a maintenance shutdown. For this event, the charge level is lowered a few meters and the top is opened to the atmosphere to allow auto-ignition of the carbon monoxide emanating from loads. We can see, from top to bottom: the crossing beams measuring temperature and gas composition, the throat armor made with vertical plates, the refractories (not cooled at this height) and the inflamed loads. The homogenous distribution of the flames is characteristic of a non-central-coke work. |
