Description

Portrait of an elderly man by Smith & Clarke, Belleville, Ontario. “W.C. Wells, Allan Salisbury’s grandfather” is written on the back. William Casey Wells was born in Fredericksburgh, Ontario in 1826 and married Eliza Sills. They lived in Thurlow Township, Hastings. Their daughter Clarissa married James Salisbury and their son Allan was born in December 1890.

Transferred from Glanmore National Historic Site in November 2017.
