English: Harwich Town railway station, Essex Opened in 1866 by the Great Eastern Railway as the terminus of its line from Manningtree, it replaced an earlier 1854 station which was demolished. View north towards the buffers. There had once been a 2nd island platform to the left. The waiting shelter was constructed in 2018 and replaced a short remaining section of station canopy which was removed at the same time.
