Description
English: Energy harvesting and distribution through nanoscale networks well below the diffraction limit will be a powerful tool in the development of next-generation technologies for the warfighter including utilizing focused energy for sensing, catalysis and conversion to electricity or movement. The graphic depicts 6 energy transfer steps on a discrete DNA photonic wire. Each individual energy transfer step proceeds through the pendant fluorophores sequentially displayed on the DNA scaffold and their order is indicated by a number.
