Summary
[edit]DescriptionHartlepool railway station, County Durham (geograph 7729411).jpg |
English: Opened in 1880 as 'West Hartlepool' by the North Eastern Railway on what is now the line from Stockton to Sunderland, this replaced an earlier 1841 terminus station that had been around 350m east of here. In 1967 the name changed to Hartlepool.
View east, although the line soon turns south towards Seaton Carew and Stockton. In 2024, the left hand platform had just been rebuilt and a new footbridge with lifts added. |
