Summary
[edit]DescriptionHart-Haswell Walkway just south of Wellfield, 17-06-2020.jpg |
English: View North-Northeast along a path running parallel to the Haswell-Hart Walkway (beyond the trees to the right), just south of Wellfield, County Durham.
The path in the centre of the shot runs adjacent to the remains of the (largely filled-in) cutting (left) which was once followed by the Castle Eden railway. A short distance to the north was the location of Wellfield Junction where the Castle Eden railway and Hartlepool Dock & Railway Co. line (later part of the North Eastern Railway's West Hartlepool to Sunderland via Haswell line) met. |
