English: Drawing of a steatite vessel fragment uncovered by archaeologist M.R. Harrington during his excavations on Bussell Island, at the mouth of the Little Tennessee River in Loudon County, Tennessee, USA. This vessel belonged to the "Round Grave" culture, which corresponds roughly to the Late Archaic (c. 3000-1000 B.C.) and Woodland (c. 1000 B.C. - 1000 A.D.) periods. The fragment's length is 2.6 inches (66mm). |
