Description
English: Harriet Richardson nee Hudson born Wanlip
"A portrait of the mother of Sarah Harriet Selwyn, the wife of Bishop George Augustus Selwyn, shows Lady Richardson seated in a chair with her feet on a low cushioned footstool. She wears a dark satin dress with full skirt and sleeves, and a very wide lace collar that extends well over her shoulders. Her white lace bonnet has frills around the face and is trimmed with pink ribbon that hangs down on both sides." Watercolour, 215 x 161 mm.
